Would drinking Whey Protein mix, in the morning (as a substitute for breakfast) be a good or bad for someone who doesn’t regularly eat enough protein?

Unless you’re not consuming enough calories in a day, it’s virtually impossible for you to not be getting enough protein, “protein deficiencies” are only found in people that starve themselves for extended periods of time(many months, years), and in people that are in underdeveloped(third world) countries where food is scarce.
We only need 5-8% of our calories to be from protein, most americans, yes, even vegans, consume on average, around 16% protein, this is actually a bad thing, as more than 10% of calories from protein results in low energy, acid toxemia(a precursor for osteoporosis), kidney disease, arthritis, immune dysfunction, and cancer.
Yes it’s ok. I am a bodybuilder and I need about 300 grams of protein a day. I could possibly manage on a vegetarian diet, but not vegan. I would have to eat so much food to get 300 grams of protein I would be a big fat blimp! I suggest eating lots of fish and chicken.
eat eggs in the moring or beans on toast. there are a lot of ways to get protein in. it is best not to just have liquid food in the morning as it is not a good start for the day.
I’m sure it wouldn’t be bad, but it isn’t going to be very healthy. Try making a breakfast burrito with cheese, beans, and eggs. That should be a pretty healthy dose of protein right there.
It will be fine. It works great in the morning for a quick protein rush!! You can always use extra whey at any time throughout the day.
How can someone not get enough protein? That’s impossible, unless they are willingly starving themself.
John I also drink whey protein but i only do it on days i know i haven’t had enough protein. I’ve also only been veg for 2 weeks now.
It wouldn’t hurt, but if your really looking for protein eat eggs.
Yeah, I drink that. But dont over do, protein drinks can be harmful if you over do it.
